James Heathcote, based in the United Arab Emirates, is a UK qualified Chartered Tax Advisor and Founder of independent tax, accounting and professional services firm Sanctoras.

After beginning his career with Deloitte in the UK and a subsequent move to EY, James established the Private Client team for a multi-family office. He launched Sanctoras as an advisory hub for global high-net-worth individuals and families in early 2022. The firm is now a team of ten specialists working between the UK and the UAE, providing advice on all personal tax and structuring matters for a wide range of high-profile, internationally-mobile clients.

Originally a linguist before entering the world of tax, James has vast expertise of clients moving between countries; the UK 'non-dom' regime; international structuring; and specific considerations for clients from or based in the Middle East (including the new UAE Corporate Tax regime). He is a short flight from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the wider GCC region.
